WHAT IS CBD
The miracle Cannabis compound that does not produce a high
CBD (Cannabidiol) is a compound extracted from the flower of the Cannabis Sativa L. plant. CBD is one of over 80 phytocannabinoids, or chemical compounds, produced by the cannabis plant. The CBD is gently extracted from the cannabis plant to form a paste. This paste is then mixed with other bases such as hemp oil allowing the mixture to be ingested.
CBD works in tandem with one of your body's systems known as the Endocannabinoid System (ECS). The function of the ECS is to regulate stress relief, immune response and maintain homeostasis including appetite, sleep, mood and pain.
CBD can be taken orally. We have two different types of product:
Oil Form - taken by dropping a small amount (2-3 drops) the tongue, waiting 1 minute before swallowing on a daily basis or when required. Alternatively, it can be applied topically, directly to the body to the affected area. Again this can be done on a daily basis or as required. This is a very natural oil in order to keep the full spectrum profile and maintain all the goodness of the plant. It therefore has a strong taste and is one for the purists.
Water Soluble - taken by squirting a pump of syrup into your mouth or preferably a still drink. This can be water, tea, coffee or whatever you like. Unlike the oil this is digested into the body through the stomach rather than via saliva glands. The flavour of this product is more palatable than oil, an alternative option if you struggle with the flavour of the oil.
